Truck Convoy

What We Do 

For over 20 years, an army of truckers and law enforcement officers form the Truck Convoy, traveling through Hastings, NE to help raise money and awareness for Special Olympics. All funds raised from the event will benefit Special Olympics Nebraska athletes.

To be part of the Truck Convoy, truckers or trucking companies much register and pay a $100 entry fee per truck. Registration forms can be turned in at the event or sent to the Special Olympics Nebraska office in advance. Each registrant will receive a Truck Convoy goody bag and are encouraged to take part in all the activities associated with the Truck Convoy.

The Truck Convoy is more than just a convoy, though, it’s a great way for truckers and the trucking industry to be involved in the community, send a positive message about the trucking industry and interact with Special Olympics athletes of Nebraska. 

2025 EVENT DETAILS

Date: September 19-20
Location: Adams County Fairgrounds, Hastings 

This year's convoy will be at the Adams County Fairgrounds on Saturday, September 20th. Truckers will meet at the Fairgrounds, convoy around Hastings, and return to the Fairgrounds for a celebration.

We are excited to bring law enforcement and truckers together with the community to raise funds and awareness for Special Olympics Nebraska athletes. There will again be a convoy cookout and auction. We look forward to seeing you there!

BE THE LEAD TRUCK
If you wish to have your company's truck as the lead truck in the Truck Convoy in the state of Nebraska, you may bid for this privileged position. Bidding for the lead truck will take place by emailing Rose Swenson. BIDS WILL ONLY BE ACCEPTED THROUGH EMAIL AND THE MINIMUM BID STARTS AT $500. The bid will be updated daily as they are received. Bidding for Nebraska’s lead truck is scheduled to end on September 12, 2025 at 5:00p.m. (CST).
