The 2025 Winter Fitness Combine was designed with flexibility in mind!

The goal of the program is to provide Special Olympics Nebraska athletes and partners with ideas for six weeks of physical activity that will improve cardio, strength, flexibility and overall physical performance.  It can be done by yourself or with a group.  Participants will strive to increase their number of minutes exercised, week over week, with improved athletic performance as a result.  

Registration Deadline: February 15th 

Week 1: February 16th - February 22nd 

Week 2: February 23rd - March 1st 

Week 3: March 2nd - March 8th 

Week 4: March 9th - March 15th 

Week 5: March 16th - March 22nd 

Week 6: March 23rd - March 29th 

Minutes Submission Deadline: April 4th


Registration & Weekly Minutes Submission

 

This competition is open to participants of all ages. We highly encourage school classrooms, athletes, unified partners and family members to get in on the competition.  

One person will be the team captain and register the whole group.  The team captain will submit minutes from the team each week.  Last day for minutes submission is April 4th.

 


Fitness Combine Playbook

This playbook contains everything you need for the fitness challenge.  It provides instructions on setting SMART goals.  In addition, it contains ideas for cardio, strength, and stretching exercises that can be adapted so all abilities can complete the exercises they enjoy!  Lastly, ideas for hydration and a tracker to keep track of exercise minutes and ounces each person drank is included.  


FAQ's

 

Registration:   There is no limit on the number of team members. When you register by February 15th you will receive a guide and instruction manual.

Completion:  You will be working to #GetFitNE

Workouts:  Each week you will be encouraged to work out for 30 minutes a day 5 times a week doing cardio, strength, or stretching exercises.  

Participants:  The combine is open to participants of all ages. Athletes, Coaches, Unified Partners & Household Family Members.
